Working lower body burns more calories? I hear many exercise theories all the time, some good, some bad. This one I heard by a potential client.

So this potential client was telling me how their last personal trainer worked them out. He was telling me that they worked the majority of time on his lower body because the lower body consist of 70% of all his muscle so this should burn more calories. The exercise that he was performing was on an abductor machine, which works the abductors.

Wow, I need to talk to this trainer. This kind of stuff frustrates me. Are you serious? You had him on an abductor machine? Do you know how small this muscle group is compared to the quads and hamstrings? UGH

Before you train someone, get an education first, Please.
